Dana Salzman Quintet

The Dana Salzman Quintet celebrates the release of her new album, Everything Falls Away, with a live performance at The Deluxe. Leading on keys and vocals, the Oakland-based composer and bandleader brings a soulful, groove-forward sound that reimagines jazz, funk, and R&B with vibrant modern arrangements. Backing Salzman is a powerhouse quintet featuring Maurice Miles on drums and vocals, James Mahone on tenor saxophone, Chico Lopez on bass and vocals, and Shamilah Ivory on supporting vocals, delivering rich horn harmonies, deep rhythmic pockets, and expressive improvisation.
