Peter Zak Quartet

Jazz pianist and composer Peter Zak brings his quartet to Mr. Tipple’s Recording Studio with a résumé that spans the full breadth of New York’s jazz world — sideman credits including George Coleman, Jimmy Cobb, Etta Jones, and Jon Hendricks, and twelve albums as a leader earning praise from the New York Times, DownBeat, JazzTimes, and the Financial Times. His latest recording, One Mind, continues a streak of critical acclaim, and his work has taken him to every major New York jazz venue, from the Village Vanguard and the Blue Note to Smoke and the Jazz Standard. A longtime faculty member at the New School and a performer at festivals and concerts internationally, Zak is a musician’s musician in every sense — refined, resourceful, and deeply rooted in the tradition.
