Maxwell Apra Trio

Maxwell Apra is a internationally recognized multi-instrumentalist, performer, and music teacher. Originally from California Maxwell splits time between Santa Cruz, the San Fransisco Bay Area and New Orleans .

Specializing in rare Italian mandolin and banjo music , traditional jazz, Caribbean waltzes , tangos, and ragtime string band music; Maxwells eclectic repertoire is comprised of forgotten gems of 78 rpm era music.

Currently, Maxwell continues to tour nationally and internationally with The Maxwell Apra trio, The Caterina trio, and the jazz band Frog and Henry. During his time in New Orleans he plays with and has recorded with Steve Pistorius, as well as performing with The Storyville String band, Duke Heitiger, and the Glow worm trio .
