Jules Broussard

Louisiana-born living legend Jules Broussard has been blowing away Bay Area audiences with his double-saxophone serenades and soulful solos for over 60 years, sharing stages and studios with Alice Coltrane, Van Morrison, and Carlos Santana across an 88-year life well lived in music. At the Green & Columbus Stage, Broussard brings his freshly minted New Orleans Jazz Band — Bay Area jazz veterans Ned Boynton on guitar, Kevin Gerzevitz on piano/keys, Bob Blankenship on drums, and Derek Evans on vocals — fresh off residencies in North Beach and Fairfax. It’s rare to catch this much living history in an open-air festival setting, but this is your lucky afternoon in the heart of North Beach.
