Since relocating from New York City in 2011, saxophonist, composer, and educator Jason Gillenwater has emerged as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most sought-after musicians. A versatile performer, he leads his own quartet and trio while maintaining a vibrant presence in the scene with ensembles like Jazz Mafia’s Realistic Orchestra, the Doug Miller Quartet, and the Grammy-winning Pacific Mambo Orchestra.
