Multi-reed player Steven Lugerner brings his acclaimed band JACKNIFE to The Deluxe on Saturday evening — and it’s a homecoming with deep roots. The band, which draws its inspiration from the music of alto sax great Jackie McLean, represents exactly the kind of serious, joyful, community-rooted jazz that The Deluxe was always meant to champion.
