Fillmore Slim

Fillmore Slim at Biscuits & Blues brings San Francisco bluesman Clarence Sims—born in Louisiana and named for the city’s historic Fillmore Street—to the stage for a rare, story-rich performance. A singer, guitarist, and songwriter with a gritty vocal style and sharply dressed presence, Slim opened for B.B. King and Dinah Washington at the original Fillmore, returned to recording with Born to Sing the Blues in 1987, and later earned induction into the West Coast Blues Hall of Fame and the Lowell Fulson Jus’ Blues Award. Expect raw, lived-in Blues with touches of New Orleans Rhythm & Blues, Funk, and Soul.
