Little grew up steeped in music from all sides — a saxophonist father, church performances, and a radio diet of Aretha, Sly Stone, Coltrane, James Brown, P-Funk, and Led Zeppelin — before falling under the spell of the great electric bassists: Jamerson, Jaco, Stanley Clarke, and Verdine White.
