The Joe Gloss Group brings an energetic and intimate evening of jazz to the Black Cat — led by vocalist, arranger, and bandleader Joe Gloss, based between Los Angeles and the Bay Area, the group blends classic vocal jazz and bop with contemporary ensemble writing into performances that feel both rooted in tradition and alive with modern energy. Joined by Annie Orzen, Yoav Konig, Sam Iannone, and special guest Jonah Kinsbourne, expect vocal improvisation, fresh interpretations of beloved standards, and adventurous ensemble interplay inspired by the deepest traditions of American jazz.
