The Bobby Young Project at Biscuits & Blues features Oakland guitarist and vocalist Bobby Young, a Bay Area blues mainstay whose five-decade career includes work with John Lee Hooker, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Maria Muldaur, and Jimmy McCracklin. Formed in 1997, the band pairs Young with his son Nick on second guitar, drummer Latrosse Harris, bassist Greg “Gman” Simmons, and keyboardist Gig Anderson for a gritty, groove-heavy blend of blues, rock, funk, and soul.
