Kutting Korners: Tribute to the Legendary Keystone Korner San Francisco
June 24 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$20
Kutting Korners brings a thrilling tribute to one of San Francisco’s most beloved jazz landmarks to The Black Cat — honoring the legendary Keystone Korner, the historic venue that from 1970 to 1983 hosted landmark performances by Freddie Hubbard, Bobby Hutcherson, Cedar Walton, Joe Henderson, Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers, and many more. Led by trumpeter Max Ehrhardt and vibraphonist Gus Hurteau, this all-star Bay Area ensemble brings together emerging musicians and veterans of the original Keystone Korner scene to recreate the magic of those seminal live recordings with fresh energy and deep reverence. Rounding out the lineup are Richard Howell on saxophone, Hannah Mayer on piano, Alan Jones on bass, and Miles Turk on drums — a formidable group that makes this one night you will not want to miss.
