Henry Plumb

Henry Plumb brings prodigious talent and boundless versatility to The Deluxe — a 24-year-old award-winning drummer from the San Francisco Bay Area and Berklee College of Music graduate whose command of styles ranges from big band swing and gospel to funk, fusion, hip-hop, Afro-Cuban, New Orleans second line, and beyond. As saxophonist and educator Paul Contos puts it, “His innate ability to commandeer many styles is paramount, attributing to his passion, and is supported by his practice regimen and disciplined work ethic.” Trained at Berklee under Francisco Mela, Dave DiCenso, and Lil John Roberts among others, Henry now performs regularly around the Bay Area with Jazz Mafia, Erik Jekabson, Adam Klipple, Tony Peebles, and The Kyle Athayde Dance Party, and has shared the stage with Chucho Valdés, Allen Stone, and Matt Wilson — making him one of the most exciting young drummers on the Bay Area scene today.
