Easley / Duplantis Trio at Bird & Beckett features pedal steel guitarist Dave Easley, who has worked with Brian Blade, Joni Mitchell, Peter Rowan and Ruthie Foster, alongside bassist Smitti Supab and drummer Kirk Duplantis. Easley carries the pedal steel, an instrument rooted in country music, into jazz and improvised settings; NPR featured his track “Jesus Maria” in 2021.
