Cyril Guiraud Trio

Cyril G. Guiraud brings a singular transatlantic voice to Waystone, performing as a trio with Brother Ruckus on drums and Gary Johnson on bass. The French-born, SF- and Paris-based saxophonist, composer, and producer has shared the bandstand with Michel Petrucciani, Kenny Garrett, Mike Stern, George Clinton, and dozens more, and has graced the stages of SF Jazz, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and Stern Grove. The trio’s forthcoming album Outer Reach — inspired by Sonny Rollins’ East Broadway Run Down — showcases Guiraud’s original compositions and his command of the raw, unadorned power of the saxophone-bass-drums format.
