Beth Schenck Quartet at Mr Tipples showcases San Francisco saxophonist, composer, and educator Beth Schenck in an adventurous acoustic-jazz setting. With Brett Carson on piano, Lisa Mezzacappa on bass, and Jordan Glenn on drums, the quartet explores original compositions through West Coast jazz, creative improvisation, chamber-music textures, and free-jazz influence. The result is an intricate, collaborative set driven by Schenck’s expressive alto saxophone and the group’s deep rhythmic interplay.
