Winner of the 2023 International Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition, a 2024 Honorable Mention in the ASCAP Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composers Competition, and named a “Rising Star Female Vocalist of the Year” in DownBeat Magazine’s 2025 Critics Poll, Varner celebrates her latest release Ella (Cellar Live), reimagining Fitzgerald classics through contemporary arrangements that honor the originals while forging a fresh artistic path—an approach that has already earned radio attention on the NACC and JazzWeek charts.
