Robert Kennedy leads a Hammond B-3 quartet at Keys Jazz Bistro with Tom Griesser on tenor sax, Kelyn Crapp on guitar, and Joe Kelner on drums. A Bay Area resident since 1988 and former SFJAZZ Monday Night Band pianist, Kennedy draws on the groove-rich soul jazz and hard bop of Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff, Charles Earland, Lee Morgan, Horace Silver, and Herbie Hancock; his 2018 Hammond-led album Closer to Home reached No. 1 on the RMR jazz chart.
