Paul Griffiths & Sean Silverman return to The Rite Spot with their regular night of melodic, witty acoustic folk, joined by fiddler Diana Greenberg. Manchester-born, San Francisco-based songwriter Paul Griffiths fronts the night with his “Briticana” sound — Americana with a British twist — and is known for his wry, often morbid original songs, backed by longtime upright bassist Sean Silverman, his collaborator of nearly a decade in the band the Scofflaws. Greenberg, a Bay Area roots and bluegrass mainstay who has played with The Whoreshoes and The Vivants, rounds out the trio’s tight, string-driven sound.
