Nick Rossi’s Soul Jazz Quartet
October 30 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$15
San Francisco guitarist, bandleader, and jazz historian Nick Rossi brings his Soul Jazz Quartet to Mr. Tipples for an evening dedicated to classic 1950s and 1960s soul jazz. Joined by pianist Ray Jacildo, bassist Mikiya Matsuda, and drummer Cairo McCockran, Rossi explores the warm, blues-drenched sounds popularized during the golden age of Blue Note and Prestige recordings. The performance features deep-pocket swing, gospel-tinged harmonies, and tasteful melodic fretwork rooted in mid-century American jazz traditions.
Two Shows: 6pm and 7:30pm
