Max Haymer Power Trio

Max Haymer Power Trio brings the Grammy-nominated pianist to San Francisco for his Black Cat debut, a three-night residency built for drama, momentum, and explosive live interplay in what Haymer calls “athletic jazz.” He spent a decade as pianist and musical director for ten-time Grammy winner Arturo Sandoval and also collaborates with vocalist Jane Monheit; a recent South Arts Jazz Road Award recipient, Haymer moves from striking original compositions to reimagined Broadway and jazz standards charged with Afro-Cuban heat. He’s joined by bassist Nick Campbell and drummer Rick Montalbano.
