Keenan O’Brien at the Rite Spot brings the Missouri-born, Seattle-based singer-songwriter’s raw, stripped-down folk sound to the room, built around banjo, guitar, ukulele, and voice. His songwriting leans on traditional storytelling and classic country-western crooning, with Eddy Arnold cited as a key vocal touchstone, capturing quiet, honest moments of calm and motion. Much of that material comes straight from life on the road — O’Brien lives and tours out of a self-converted camper van with his partner and their two dogs, a nomadic existence that runs through the songs.
