Jazz Mafia’s Cannonball Show salutes Cannonball and Nat Adderley with a hard-swinging sextet at Keys Jazz Bistro, recapturing the brothers’ soulful, explosive brand of 1960s–’70s hard bop. Alto saxophonist John Palowich, trumpeter Mike Olmos, trombonist Adam Theis, pianist Colin Hogan, bassist Josh Thurston-Milgrom, and drummer Henry Plumb reinterpret the Adderleys’ timeless repertoire with the collective’s characteristically energetic Bay Area edge.
