Helen Sung

Guggenheim Fellow, pianist, and composer Helen Sung brings her Oracles Quartet to Keys Jazz Bistro. A graduate of the inaugural class of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz Performance (now the Herbie Hancock Institute), Sung has recorded ten leader albums and performed alongside masters including Clark Terry, Wayne Shorter, and Ron Carter. This performance features quartet arrangements from her acclaimed big band recording, Oracles, which presents dedicated musical portraits of the historic jazz icons who mentored her.
