Heat takes the Green & Columbus Stage as the self-described “uncanniest rock band in the world” — a Bay Area outfit that has been embracing the weird since founders Enzo and Max Casler started the band in their early twenties with a thoroughly punk rock DIY spirit. After years of Bay Area shows, lineup changes, a tour, and a hiatus, Heat is back with a fresh collaborative energy, a new bassist in Darian, and a new single “Sweat” — dropped the same day as their return show at the Rickshaw Stop. Expect guitar, vocals, the occasional theremin, and a psychedelic, wonderfully strange rock experience that defies easy categorization.
