Garotas da Lua at Bird & Beckett is a new three-voice Brazilian harmony group singing MPB, samba and bossa nova, built on fresh arrangements of Antonio Carlos Jobim, Chico Buarque, Ary Barroso and Dori Caymmi. The trio pairs San Francisco vocalist Sandy Cressman, who leads the long-running Brazilian ensemble Homenagem Brasileira and has appeared at the San Jose Jazz Summer Fest, with Catia Machado and Lillian Yee. They are accompanied by Ricardo Peixoto on seven-string guitar and Brian Rice on percussion.
