Citizens Jazz

Citizens Jazz at Harlan Records presents an agile Bay Area trio led by Oakland bassist, composer, and creative catalyst Caroline Chung, with Zac Gersh on keys and Matt Fyke on drums. Chung’s project brings together musicians known for stylistic range and imaginative interplay, drawing from jazz, soul, funk, and songwriterly composition; her 2021 debut, Sounds of Haejin, similarly moved across genres while pairing original music with a broad local creative community.
