Boogie Woogie

Pier 23 Cafe Restaurant & Bar hosts an afternoon of live boogie-woogie on the Embarcadero waterfront featuring German pianist Luca Šestak alongside American pianist Chase Garrett. Both internationally touring performers specialize in early American blues piano styles, presenting sets driven by rolling left-hand bass figures, syncopated stride rhythms, and up-tempo improvisation. Performing solo selections and dual-piano arrangements inside the historic bayside venue, the duo focuses on classic boogie-woogie standards, barrelhouse blues, and original compositions.
