Counting Jeff Parker\, Meg Duffy (Hand Habits)\, and Shelley Burgon (Fred Frith\, Bjork) among its all-star lineup\, the eclectic and tuneful album received praise from Pitchfork\, Downbeat\, and several other outlets. \nMax is a founding member of experimental rock collective JOBS\, Amirtha Kidambi’s Elder Ones\, Leverage Models\, and several others. He has toured\, performed\, and recorded with many diverse artists including Wild Up\, Steph Richards\, WAND\, M.A. Tiesenga\, Nels Cline\, Ava Mendoza\, Delicate Steve\, Cass McCombs\, Rubblebucket\, David Wax Museum\, DARKSIDE\, David Binney\, Nick Reinhart\, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson\, Jessica Pavone\, Chris Williams\, Nicole McCabe\, Logan Kane\, Peter Evans\, Simon Hanes\, Oberhofer\, and many others. \n \nSteven Lugerner and Max Jaffe have been playing music together on and off since middle school. Their musical journeys contained significant overlap at one point in the form of several records and tours with the groups In One Wind\, Chives\, and killer BOB\, and while their paths have largely diverged since they left NYC for San Francisco and Los Angeles\, respectively\, they reunite – with the support of Bay Area bass guru Giulio Xavier Cetto – for this special evening.

DESCRIPTION:Michael Potter is a jazz pianist and composer who strives to bring joy to audiences through inspired original compositions and creative arrangements. He studied with pianist Edward Simon at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music from 2018 to 2022\, and subsequently spent two years in Tokyo before returning to the Bay Area in 2025. Along with musical influence from the countless great pianists of the jazz tradition\, Potter’s compositions take inspiration from nature\, meditation practice\, and language study. He has shared the stage with greats such as Matt Brewer\, Carmen Bradford\, Mike Rodriguez\, and Akira Tana\, and currently resides in the Bay Area.

DESCRIPTION:As a young man Dave Easley found himself playing pedal steel with seasoned jazz  musicians twice his age\, including Lin Halliday\, a veteran of the Glenn Miller and  Maynard Ferguson groups. Dave’s first tackling of the classic\, Giant Steps\, was  accompanied with Lin’s personal account of John Coltrane’s private remarks on the  landmark recording. From this\, “jumping into the deep end”\, Dave carried away a sense  of spontaneity combined with a deep work ethic that has carried him through many  years of stage and studio appearances alongside superb performers such as\, Brian  Blade\, Jim Singleton\, Charlie Byrd\, Dr. John\, Coco Robicheaux\, Cyril Neville\, Joni  Mitchell\, Colonel Bruce Hampton\, George Porter\, Peter Rowan\, Ruthie Foster (on her  Grammy nominated\, Let It Burn)\, Howard Levy\, Bill Kreutzman of the Grateful Dead\,  Jeff Matika of Green Day\, Jerry Jemmott…   \nDave’s two most recent releases are Byways of the Moon\, which received a positive  review on NPR and was selected “Best Jazz on Bandcamp” for January 2022\, and  Easley Rider featuring the rhythm section from the Iguanas along with Kass Krebs and  the late\, great\, Alfred Uganda Roberts.

Halloran’s Band can be heard performing nightly at John’s Grill in the Heart of the City he calls home. With his “Kyiv Trio”\, he has recorded a debut record – “Rise”\, which came out March 25th\, 2022 on the “Shifting Paradigm Records”. During his time in NYC\, George completed his studies at The New School for Jazz and has performed with musicians such as Ari Hoenig\, Steve Cardenas\, Frank Perowsky\, Sam Yahel\, and others. Among the venues he has played were Nublu\, Stone\, as well as the Clifford Brown and Bern Jazz Festivals.
