During this time\, Angel studied the Music Legends of Latin Music and performed the songs of Hector Lavoe\, Celia Cruz\, La Lupe\, Juan Luis Guerra\, Joe Arroyo\, El Gran Combo\, and many more. \nAs an educator\, she uses these talents to bring out the unique and artistic gifts of her students. She conducts musical workshops with Bay Area Children’s Theatre\, serves as Casting Manager at Ray of Light Theatre\, Director at Tomorrow Youth Repertory\, performer at Bay Area Children’s Theatre\, and Education Director/ co-founder for Yeah\, Art! Joyce has been a member of many local groupsacross multiple genres\, including new music\, gamelan\, medieval\, baroque\, Brazilian\, and jazz.She is also the director and arranger for the San Francisco based choir Conspiracy of Venus. Inher 18 years with that group she has created over 50 arrangements. In addition to her activeperforming life\, Joyce is a devoted educator\, teaching privately in the East Bay. \n  \nJoyce has been blessed to play with CWICO (Creative Women Improvising ComposersOrchestra)\, Calitropia\, Dream Kitchen\, McBride Pera Starkweather\, Mixus Mundi\, JoyceMcBride-Stacy Starkweather Duo\, HelioTrope\, Volti\, and Conspiracy of Venus\, at many of thebest venues in the Bay Area\, including Piedmont Piano\, Bird and Beckett\, Freight and Salvage\,Doc’s Lab\, Red Poppy\, Amnesia\, Verdi Club\, Swedish American Hall\, Cafe du Nord\, GreatAmerican Music Hall\, Lost Church\, Old First\, Noe Valley Ministry\, Starry Plough\, Stork Club\,and many more.
