Currently\, she plays at venues and private events\, either solo or supported by some of the Bay Area’s finest jazz musicians. She records songs with multi-intrumentalist and producer Gawain Mathews\, which to date have been streamed over ten million times on Spotify and Youtube.

DESCRIPTION:Lorca Hart’s vision is to provide deepening creative musical experiences for himself and others. His career as both a performer and a teacher has been dedicated to the craft of drumming\, Jazz tradition and history\, and ensemble collaboration. \nMr. Hart received his BFA from California Institute of the Arts in 1996. He was deeply inspired by teacher/mentors including Albert “Tootie” Heath\, Joe La Barbera\, Charlie Haden\, Wadada Leo Smith\, and many others. Lorca continues to be inspired by music education now as a faculty member for numerous musical education venues including Stanford Jazz Workshop\, Mt. San Antonio College\, SF Jazz and many other musical clinics and workshops. Additionally\, Lorca teaches privately at his drum studio. \nWest Coast drummer Lorca Hart presents his Bridges Trio\, playing straight ahead standards rooted in the jazz organ sound while also exploring more contemporary elements with original compositions and composers such as Josh Redman\, John Scofied and Pat Metheny. \nFeaturing Brian Ho on organ and Tony Peebles on sax.
