Born in 1937\, he began organizing bands in Louisiana at the age of twelve before serving in the U.S. Air Force and eventually settling in San Francisco. He has shared the stage and studio with some of the most iconic names in music history\, including: Ray Charles\, Carlos Santana\, Van Morrison\, Boz Scaggs\, and Elvin Bishop. \nHonored with the San Francisco Cabaret Gold Award for “Outstanding Jazz Musician” and a BAMMIE for “Best Reed Player\,” Broussard is a cornerstone of the West Coast jazz scene. In 2021 Tammy had the distinct honor of being the  inaugural Artist-In-Residence for the Healdsburg Jazz Festival.
