Tony Lindsay is a vocalist and songwriter who has been part of the San Francisco Bay Area music community since relocating from Kingston, New York, in 1980. Best known for his long tenure as a lead vocalist with Santana, Lindsay performed on seven Santana albums, including Milagro, Supernatural, Shaman, and Ultimate Santana. Outside of Santana, he has maintained an active local career through his own recordings and performances with groups including Spangalang, The Soul Soldiers, Black Magic, and the Ray Charles Project. His solo releases include Different Moods, The Message Is Love, Tony Lindsay, Memoirs, and Something Beautiful. Lindsay’s singing draws on gospel, soul, R&B, jazz, and pop, with performances ranging from concert stages and local clubs to national-anthem appearances for Bay Area sports teams.
