Cyril Guiraud is a saxophonist, composer, and producer whose work connects the jazz traditions of his native France with San Francisco’s improvising-music community. He performs on saxophones and bass clarinet, often incorporating electronics, multi-effects, and loopers into projects that move between acoustic improvisation and produced sound. Guiraud has played and recorded with musicians including Michel Petrucciani, Kenny Garrett, Mike Stern, Eddy Gómez, Mino Cinélu, George Clinton, Alpha Blondy, Howard Wiley, Adam Theis, Dayna Stephens, and Hamir Atwal. He is also a co-founder of the doubleOone label and the everwave collaborative music-production platform. His releases as a leader include itch ultra and Cyril Guiraud American Trio Live in San Francisco.
